Been far too long since I last used any version of WLM. However, wasn't
it possible to option to show or not show the preview pane which is
where, I believe, you see the preview of attachments in an e-mail?

Are you running WLM as an administrator process?

In the Add/Remove Programs list, find WL Essentials, click on Uninstall,
and then Change which might offer a Repair option. Else, use wlarp.exe
(should be under the C:\Program Files\Windows Live folder).
You could also try Win+R to get the run dialog, and enter "wlarp". I
don't know if the repair means losing your local POP message store, but
if you're using IMAP then the client syncs to the server, anyway.
