I got my email server working again.              The VM I use for that, has its own email server.       And I load multiple email clients in there for test.              That setup was broken for two years, I prepared some new       certificate files, but it never seemed to work. But when       I revisited the setup, I didn't realize how close I was.       Like in your example, one client didn't work because       of one of those "random" settings that are all over the place.              the Windows Live Mail, I finally found the place to load       a certificate, and when I loaded my maillocal.p12 file,       it finally started to work.              The email clients do not like my certificate. They think       it smells. WLM put up a dialog "this connection does not       seem to be secure, do you want to continue using this       server", to which I click the OK and then I can do an       experiment as I wish. That means it is "barely working",       not working particularly well.              But at least it's working again :-)               Paul              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
