   The MSCONFIG Services in the list, have tick boxes besides them.

   But you can also Start : Run : services.msc   
      
   and look at the actual services interface. In there are   
   buttons to "Start" or "Stop" a service.   
      
   For example SysMain (formerly called SuperFetch), is listed   
   in MSCONFIG, and is also in the list in "services.msc".
