   I still had at least part of this thread unread and I didn't see this   
   mentioned here; so apologies if this has actually been mentioned (this   
   feature has been at least brought up in a different thread some months   
   ago):   
      
   You can also modify said bookmark to have %s instead of %20 and add a   
   keyword(*), such as "brave".   
      
   Then you can just type   
      
       brave search expression   
      
   in the location bar and %s will be replaced with "search expression"   
      
   (see "Using Custom Bookmark Keywords" in the help,   
   under "Browsing the Web"->"Improving Speed and Efficiency")   
      
   (*) (Do note that the small panel that shows up when using Ctrl+D does   
   not seem to offer a way to enter a keyword, you have to use the Library   
   window to edit that field (and it's hidden behind the "expand"   
   button left of "More" there).)
