For years (15, maybe) on my HP Laptop, I had my SeaMonkey Profile on my
Win7 Installation and used that same Profile for my MageiaLinux
SeaMonkey. The SM Profile was on the Win7 Drive because Linux could
'see' the Win7 OS but, apparently, Win7 can't 'see' the Linux OS.

I usually ran the Linux OS, booting into the Win7 system every week or
so to update the Anti-Virus system .... just in case.

Not a problem .... until my Win7 System started to disappear.
