   Yes, you should be able to do what you want. Select your e-mail folder   
   and then have a look at the offerings on the "View" Drop-down with   
   particular emphasis on the "Sort By", "Messages" and "Threads" options.   
      
   Similar options apply to your NewsGroups settings.
