|    [Possible REPOST] How to trouble shoot m    |
|    24 Sep 25 07:35:41    |
From: rowlett@access.net              I attempted to post this earlier but only the Subject: line appeared       when I checked for replies. Apologies for possible duplication.                            My OS is Debian 12.8 and using SeaMonkey 2.53.21       My email provider is panix.com .       Yesterday all email functioned as expected.              This morning, when I click "Get Msgs" the message panel at bottom of       screen says "Host contacted, sending login information...".       After a delay a pop-up window comes up saying the connection has timed       out. I've may several attempts over the last hour or so.              Questions:        1. What "tests" would determine if the problem is on my end?        2. Their website gives an email address to report problems.        As email isn't connecting, how do I report.        3. Is there a free email service I could use in a case like this.              Email has always been something that "just works".       Is there a web page I should be reading?       [I've years of trouble shooting experience *BUT* essentially all is       component level hardware. Only minimal software related.]              TIA              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
