I am using Yahoo with Seamonkey Mail, it works, but I am using Normal
Password with 2FA. Have you checked what you are using? Is it Oauth2?
Perhaps if you log into Yahoo through the web and turn off 2FA briefly
until you get passed this authentication and then turn it on again
after?
You could also disable any extensions temporarily.
