   It sure does.  I've been using it for several years on more than one   
   imap email account.   
      
   I don't know if it works with microsoft's crap like hotmail, outlook,   
   and the myriad other flakey emails they come up with regularly.  I don't   
   use any of them ... too much work keeping up with all their juggling.
