   Just a little followup. I've done upgrades before   
   but not going from 32 to 64 bit. Definitely wanted   
   this to work as SM is what I use for newsgroups   
   (as well as browsing, of course).   
      
   (windows 10)   
      
   I have two machines, backed up the profiles of   
   course. On one machine, uninstalled and deleted   
   profile in appdata\roaming, rebooted, installed   
   the 64 bit version and copied over the profile   
   files to the new profile (never enjoyed profile   
   management ;)   
      
   The other machine, same steps except left   
   the appdata profiles in place. Rebooted, installed   
   the 64 bit version, it picked up those profiles.   
      
   Pleasant surprise
