   *notes: although this nifty little program appears to work as advertised,   
   it is strongly recommended to create a system restore point before using   
   for the first time; i've been using it in windows 11 24h2 without issues   
      
   it will update colors in computer\hkey_current_user\control panel\colors,   
   but for updating computer\hkey_current_user\control panel\desktop\colors,   
   and sizes computer\hkey_current_user\control panel\desktop\windowmetrics,   
   use regedit.exe directly (in lieu of classic shell, contrast themes etc.)
