   * simple brightness and colortemp control works great in windows 11 24h2;
   in addition to using night light, regedit, and superfly's popular "smacc"
   for specifying colors in computer\hkey_current_user\control panel\colors

   and for updating computer\hkey_current_user\control panel\desktop\colors,
   and sizes computer\hkey_current_user\control panel\desktop\windowmetrics,
   use regedit.exe directly (in lieu of classic shell, contrast themes etc.)
   e.g. increase windowmetrics "scrollwidth" to -310 and it's easier to use;
   i use black liberation mono text and "old sage" (190 190 150) background,
   with windows "night light" always on, 50%, but i work under low-lighting

   (win's nightlight is probably unnecessary while using this handy utility)
