And in my experience, Wireshark will offer to install an       older version of it but if you have it installed already, will tell you       which version you have installed.              SmartSniff (by Nirsoft) will only tell you about needing WinPcap which,       as you pointed out in your OP, Npcap replaced developmentwise.              --       John C.
