From: nobody@yamn.paranoici.org              it really does seem like big brother "a.i." is continually scanning active       usenet newsgroups and in automated response propagating troll-bot routines       resembling articles posted by the usual suspects . . . always incorrigible       and perpetually rebranding, repackaging, obfuscating . . . three straight       decades of usenet's troll farm and every active newsgroup is awash in them              fortunately for all non-robotic users, troll-bots are easy to spot and the       "ignore"[i] flag is the surest way to minimize their attacks on newsgroups       (troll bait can be tempting, non-robot responses may help other non-robots       but in general practice, feeding trolls by replying to them is inadvisable)       it does seem like troll-bots reply to themselves often, typical troll-tell              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
