From: noreply@dirge.harmsk.com              i prefer to download updates on my own schedule, especially when automatic       updates       (to any program, not only firefox) become too frequent, unexpected or       inconvenient       as seems especially evident the case of mozilla firefox (and thunderbird,       although       some users may depend on automatic updates), i'd recommend a more relaxed       approach...              uncheck "install updates":       >firefox > tools > settings > general > automatically install updates       (recommended)              switch to "check for updates":       >firefox > tools > settings > general > check for updates but let you choose       to install them              this way, the most current firefox update (currently "140.0.2") can be       downloaded       anytime with a simple mouse click . . . avoiding needless interruptions from       bots              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
