   "remailer abuse" by wikipedians
   20 Jul 25 21:43:39

   From: noreply@mixmin.net

probably every page on wikipedia has at least some issues that could use
improvement . . . in a perfect world, contributing editors (wikipedians)
are unbiased, unaffiliated, as if dead, living and working off the earth
from their cushy office on a nearby star-planet . . . in a perfect world

wikipedia has many millions of pages and articles in many languages, e.g.
   on anonymous remailers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_remailer)
which is overtly biased against anonymous remailers and serves to remind
subscribers to a.p.a-s why this newsgroup
exists . . . it's uncensored, thus you'll find everything, pros and cons
including wikipedia editors pushing all sorts of anti-anonymous remailer
propaganda (troll farm central, promoting pseudonymity around the clock)
expressly because, unlike wikipedia, anyone can contribute to this group

so, because wikipedia is obviously controlled by anti-anonymous remailer
agents, excerpts from their anonymous_remailer page might be edited here
on apa-sipedia... e.g. this reads like a "confessional booth" transcript:

   >Remailer abuse and blocking by governments
   >[icon]
   >This section needs expansion. You can help by adding to it. (October 2012)
   >Although most re-mailer systems are used responsibly, the anonymity they
   provide
   >can be exploited by entities or individuals whose reasons for anonymity are
   not
   >necessarily benign.[8]
   >Such reasons could include support for violent extremist actions,[citation
   >needed] sexual exploitation of children [citation needed] or more commonly to
   >frustrate accountability for 'trolling' and harassment of targeted
   individuals,
   >or companies (The Dizum.com re-mailer chain being abused as recently as May
   >2013[citation needed] for this purpose.)
   >The response of some re-mailers to this abuse potential is often to disclaim
   >responsibility (as dizum.com does[9]), as owing to the technical design (and
   >ethical principles) of many systems, it is impossible for the operators to
   >physically unmask those using their systems. Some re-mailer systems go further
   >and claim that it would be illegal for them to monitor for certain types
   abuse at
   >all.[9]
   >Until technical changes were made in the remailers concerned in the mid-2000s,
   >some re-mailers (notably nym.alias.net based systems) were seemingly willing
   to
   >use any genuine (and thus valid) but otherwise forged address. This loophole
   >allowed trolls to mis-attribute controversial claims or statements with the
   aim
   >of causing offence, upset or harassment to the genuine holder(s) of the
   >address(es) forged.
   >While re-mailers may disclaim responsibility, the comments posted via them
   have
   >led to them being blocked in some countries. In 2014, dizum.com (a
   Netherlands-
   >based remailer) was seemingly blocked by authorities in Pakistan,[citation
   >needed] because comments an (anonymous) user of that service had made
   concerning
   >key figures in Islam.

so why stop there? it looks like a "tell", and wikipedia has lengthy pages
on what the masters (the global holy roman empire) seem to hold inviolable,
it's very much religious, hence is very much political, they own the earth:

   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolution
   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confessional
   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divine_right_of_kings
   etc...
