   MS-DOS Player for Win32-x64

MS-DOS Player is a DOS emulator for Windows, especially 64-bit Windows.
   Using MAME's msdos emulator engine.

It's NOT designed for games. It's not a full machine emulator. i.e. no
emulation for graphic video mode, HD/FD drive, printer, sound card,
joystick, etc. Just text based DOS in barebone machine.

It's mainly for non graphic & audio DOS programs such as text/TUI based
   productivity and some utility programs.

It works just like any console based Windows programs, where there's no need
to map/configure the guest system's drives to make them accessible by the
   emulated DOS program.

It's a niche tool, but the advanntages are that, it's much faster to load
and start a DOS program; and because it's a console based tool, it can be
used with scripting tools more seamlessly. And it's more stable than
OTVDM/NTVDM in terms of running DOS programs.

Executables are provided in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, although
there's no point for a 32-bit version. Executables are also provided
   separately for each emulated CPUs: i8086, NEC V30, i80286, i80386, i80486,
Pentium 4, and generic 32-bit Intel CPU (ia32). Kind of like how QEMU
separete executable for each emulated CPUs.

It works under 64-bit Windows XP and newer versions, although on Windows XP,
it'll need binary patching the executable's PE subsystem version from 6 to 5
   .
