   I played around with this about 5 to 7 years ago. No improvement in   
   performance per benchmarks (and real-world gain would be even more   
   imperceptible).   
      
   Back then, it was free, or I choose the free version instead of paying   
   for the Pro version. Since the free version didn't bring any wow factor   
   to my PC, I didn't see keeping it nor paying for Pro features that I   
   probably wouldn't use. A comparison of free vs paid is at:

   I chuckled at the last entry in the table under the Free column:

   since I last trialed the product eons ago, so maybe it might add some   
   performance to my desktop PC, but I suspect not. What gains I'd achieve   
   would likely be too small for me to care, or notice, and mostly be a   
   waste of my time in repeatedly tweaking it to see what worked best.
