Clearly nuking the whole southern tier would have been most effective.

So they say. But we all know Hezbollah first mission is to kill jews.
Once that is done they move on to the second part of the mission - kill
Christian. Guess what the third part of the mission is.

More hatred? Does it matter at this point?

What will solve it? Everybody shaking hands and going out for a falafel?

I'm sure they are, but the point is Hezbollah are terrorist. They know
it, I know it, you know it, Iran knows it. The only way to deal with
Hezbollah is to cut all their fucking heads off one at a time in public
view. Then you need to open them up like fish in front of the town
squares. That way the little 10 year old terrorist in training will
think about choosing a different career when they grow up.

I know you think I'm being crude, gross, maybe even think I'm out of my
mind and need psychological help, but deep down you know I'm right,
because fighting fire with fire has gotten nowhere and now is time to
burn the whole forest and start over. If you want to fix the Middle East
you need to destroy it because it's too far gone for peace. It's OK to
admit it - You're among friends.
