   Given the statement is just "buildings do not collapse from fire" rather   
   than "Steel structured buildings do not collapse from fire", any attempt to   
   support the claim as made is ridiculous.   
      
   As for supporting the claim as it was intended to be made, that steel   
   structured buildings do not collapse from fire - begin with a single ounce   
   of common sense; Why are there codes requiring fireproofing on steel framed   
   buildings?   
      
   Examples have been provided here many times, and any amount of research will   
   readily turn up several. You can start with three of the most infamous -   
   McCormick Place, The Sight & Sound Theater and the Madrid Tower.
