We lived in SpringPark, just off Jupiter, for ten years. It is the fastest
growing "telecom corridor" in the US, with every telecom company represented
and some big cell phone and radio factories. My impression was that one
needed to speak California as every other person was an engineer from
   California.

It is one of the best places in the US to do business development,
especially for assisting communications engineers doing a start-up. Venture
money is everywhere, just looking for the next big telecom thing. But it's
not a great retirement location so we went to the Sierra Nevada.

Because it is in the shadow of Dallas, it is often overlooked, but is the
   12th largest city in Texas.

The sole Ferrari dealer, in north Texas, was in Richardson, one block from
the Garland line, and all the Ferrari owners met at a Ristorante in Garland.

The Hunt brothers own a ranch in Garland.

Not too many people know that Mike Judge worked as an engineer there and got
his inspiration for Arlen, Texas from Garland for the "King of the Hill"
cartoons. He insists it was Temple, Texas, because he didn't want to offend
the good people of Garland, don'cha know, but now you know the truth.
