   The construction of the Ground Zero Mosque is due to begin on September   
   11 next year, on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attack. If this   
   does not sound absurd in itself, then we don't know what absurdity   
   stands for. Any American should feel humiliated, even horrified at the   
   very mention of the place as chosen for said construction. But the   
   needle goes even further through the skin, piercing flesh and bone, as   
   they choose a date as if to unmistakeably stress the fact that American   
   democracy allows for Joker versus Batman.
