   When I was a kid you could lift the hatch   
   near the D at  34 8 2.74N 118 19 16.00W. It's   
   a long since closed bunker. Not like a Nike, but   
   pre-nike. More like a fallout. No command and control,   
   just living quarters. Dusty and broken down. It met with   
   the storm drains. You could walk to the Greek Theatre and   
   Griffith Park Zoo, all underground. Past old subway rr   
   tracks, power lines. Big crawdads where the water collects.
