hey Miso .........              have you taken notice of the two new        " wells " they installed out on one of our favorite places ? they       put them in last year !              while they were running the drilling rigs I stopped and asked them       about what they were doing. ( It looked odd to me that " they'd have       such " serious " type of drilling equipment and so many expensive rigs       operating , all at the same time ) several attempts only brought "       you'll have to talk to the boss " or " I just run the rig .. and       follow orders " type answers. finally , one stop to try again , an       engineer type said they were drilling wells to monitor the possible       spread of contaminated ground water from the NTS. I thought that was       a decent plausible answer to say the least. this was during the (       odd ) final clean up phase when they were bulldozing ( huh ?? ) the       desert and making it look all pretty again. ( the standard , hiding       the debris, tactic used all over that place ) " that's great " I       said ......... " but ........ why'ja drill and CASE those huge 38"       diameter holes ( instead of the usual standard       6" or 8" test well casing ) and line the casing with a step ladder       and have those steel cap hatches that lock only from the inside ???       " ( I'm sure as soon as someone reads this post , the appearance of       this'll be corrected ha hahahah ) the engineer got a funnie look       on his face and said he had to take care of some business and left. (       actually drove off in his truck )              it's interesting that those " wells " just happen to coincide with       one of the first ( off the base ) tunnels that I ever found out       there. the one that " keeps on keeping on " for a long way. ( don't       want to mention where it goes or exactly where it is , but I'd guess       you know exactly where I'm talk'in about ) .              obviously there's really nothing unusual about tunnels or access       hatches around those parts , for sure , but I thought it was unusual       that " they'd " put them in such obvious and easily located / seen       places. places where a zillion people are going to notice them.       these must be pretty important / necessary for them to have done       that. dunno if it's some kinda OSHA requirement or because of some       potentially serious emergency escape needs ....... interesting       never the less. who knows .. maybe the NEW way to test ground water       plumes is to climb several hundred feet down a steel ladder and test       the water in person , by hand !!! ah ahaha ha ha Pumps !! .....       wee donn need no stink'in pumps !!              in fact, maybe the " real " purpose of the tunnel actually IS for       keeping an eye on the spread of contamination and radiation from the       base ....... and maybe ( even ) those hatches are for inspectors to       access the contamination monitoring tunnel eliminating the need to go       onto the secret base to get into them ( tho locking from the inside       makes that look less of a possibility ) ........ they just might have       drilled that huge tunnel for the sole purpose of contamination       monitoring !! related to the Yucca Mountain repository       stuff ?? ( ha ha ah haha h ) anything's possible ..............              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
