|    The Test Site    |

From: stealthman@iglou.com               I have been reading the Skunk Work books a lot, and       not much mention of Groom Lake or Area 51 is made, it       is just called the test site, but the number of buildings       hauled in and reassembled is surprising.               The book by Ben Rich and Leo Janus is really       frustrating me with internal inconsistencies with       dates of events.               Maybe it was a dirty trick fate played on me, allowing       me to invent stealth shapes, either a little before or a       little after Lockheed.               From what I gather from the books, not stated by       any author, just reading between the lines, it seems       the Lockheed D-21 Drone was the basis for starting       the program that ended up as "Have Blue".               I don't know how they shifted to all flat surfaces,       but I know I mailed in a patent application before       they did, my art was based on theory and was very       comprehensive from the start, while all they seemed       to know was flat faceted surfaces.               I have over a thousand pages of patent office       documentation, about 10 times what Lockheed       needed, they had a lawyer, I needed one.              Stealthman              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
