   this is my last post , in here, I don't like answering   
   email like this.  ...... give me a mail drop or this is  it .....   
      
   No, not to me ....... I don't see anything " oddball " or   
   " strange " about Rachel, at all.   it's not in an   
   unusual spot , like you say , to me it's in a obvious and logical   
   ' spot " .  Rachel is in a handy location that is   
   20 miles north of the east entrance to area51 and   
   three different roads converge into " Valley  Road " ,   
   right at Rachel and this road  ( check the sat maps )   
   goes right into the north entrance  areas of the area51   
   facilities. it's Virtually surrounded by a plethora of government   
   related  activities / personnel.   
    Rachel is ( at the very least ) a store, gas station,   
   post office ,  companionship / entertainment /  watering hole and   
   housing for contractors , subcontractors and base workers . many   
   commercial truck drivers have used Rachel as a place to park at night   
   , when working on nearby base projects .   it serves an important   
   purpose and is very  probably  even a subcontracted activity, it's   
   self.   
   Rachel is located where it is, mostly, due to the availability   
   of water and " most important " the availability of that   
   HT power  line supply that runs from the east , through   
    Rachel and off , right straight into  the base.   that power   
   that feeds the base is a " dedicated  " installation and those farms   
   and the whole  of Rachel wouldn't be using it unless the   
   government  especially wanted them to have it.  those handy farms   
   provide a clever  cover for "  local traffic "  especially that coming   
   and going on Valley Rd and their " posted / no trespassing " signs /   
   areas provide  a    nice  security " buffer zone "  without drawing   
   the ( unfortunate )  attention that the notorious  " east entrance "   
   road has drawn.   
      
   Rachel is a kewl , handy,  and down to earth  ( pun ) place ......   
   " not so "  mysterious , at all,  to my way of thinking. the only   
   aliens ( for sure ) around there, might be sitting in those chairs at   
   the Inn.  h aha ha h ah haha ha  ( you have to go there to get it )   
   Give it a chance . it'll " grow on you " . < g >
