From: krackula@i.am              >I'm a circuits person more than E&M theory, so I really can't do a       >decent job explaining the difference between a static field and radio       >waves. I supposed you can call EMF a field, but you need time changing       >fields to propagate a radio wave. It's not fresh enough in my head to       >do Maxwells equations in point form.              I know what you mean. seems like the few brain cells that I haven't       damaged need a nap half the time too !!!       ( as I get older ) hahahahahaha              >       >I took a look at the photograph. I don't recognize any place like that       >by the ET highway. Rather than play 20 questions, can you post a       >waypoint I'll take my chances with range security.              that photo just shows the equipment deployed over a local       inactive power generator plant tunnel in the granite.       I need to be careful with this so I don't get into problems with this       part. don't want info I'm mentioning to be considered " sensitive "       government info and give the homeland defense boys an excuse to       step on my neck. you'll need your excellent local knowledge to       find this place. think alien highway , large turn out, pile of road       material , giant dust devils and a " ghost town north " . it's so       far away from where all the action is, you'd think nothing could be       there. I stopped there once , quite by accident , to test and set       up my equipment for use somewhere else nearby and was        shocked to find " all that " located there. the closest protected       area land is probably 20 or more miles west of that place , weird.              find anyplace on the satellite maps , along the alien highway ,       that roads " east " of the road are heavily traveled from roads       west and those places are good candidates for taking a look.       the whole base is VASTLY larger than I ever thought it was.       the only entrances , I know of , are west of the road but       since the tunnels are probably 100 to 450 ' below the surface       in rock, theres no problem they have to worry about       ground wise, no matter where they make them. not going to hit       any well pipes there either !! a ah ah ah ah        they do still patrol the areas on the east side of the highway and       even that dirt road north of junction of alien       highway and Tonopah highway. I've seen the cammo dudes white       and black trucks coming out of that dirt road many times.       ( miles back, up the hill behind the abandoned buildings )       theres got to be " stuff " back up that way too. ( ventilation       shafts, emergency egress ports , surveillance equipment or ? )              >Regarding that ferrite rod website, you have to wonder why they mention       >infrasonic (as in sound waves) in the same breath as radio waves.              only because you can use the same transducers / equipment ,       a large rubber membrane and a magnet as a infrasonics transducer.       you can easily build a fixture to sit your rod into and make an       excellent infrasonics or seismic rig.              >       >Now I've seen ferrite rods sold on ebay use in test labs. But I think       >this is because a test lab needs to know very accurately the response       >of an antenna. A large loop would not be very practical since you would       >have to be quite far away from it to not be in the "near field"       >response.              non aligned magnetic rods ( ones magnets don't stick to ) are " far       field " antennas with the same or better abilities as any loop.       magnetic ( magnets stick to them ) rods are more of the near field       device you mention. it's why , in old console radios , they had the       ( so called ) wave magnet antennas but had a place for an external       wire to connect to make them better. if they had the new type rods       back then, the external wire would not have been needed as the new       rods out perform wires at ULF. remember that " large " ceramic       ferrite rods are " dead " above 3000hz. wire still rulze above that.              >       >BTW, checking the wellbrook, it is rated down to 50khz. However, I know       >it has some response lower than that.       >http://www.wellbrook.uk.com/ALA100.html              you don't need lower if you are looking for computers , power line       carrier transmitters and the like. sure hearing below ( say ) 100hz       is important , but so is the range between 50 kc and 150 kc.       both are important . more often than not, " tell tale " signals       are found in the 50kc to 150 kc range, because there is so much       equipment radiation in those ranges already out in the field.              the more info , in the more ranges / media you can collect .. the       better off you are and the more informed your decisions can be.                                   k              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
