From: geowright1963@gmail.com              Not surprisingly, as the 60th anniversary of the JFK assassination approaches,       a handful of new documentaries have been produced and I'm sure some of       the cable channels will replay some of the old ones. This is hardly an       indication of a renewed interest in the subject. What we are going to see is       a fraction of what was produced for the 50th anniversary which in turn was       less than the 40th anniversary produced. The 40th anniversary was probably       the peak because by then there were far more niche cable channels around       that there were for previous anniversaries. I think it was The History Channel       which ran NBC's entire coverage of that weekend from their earliest bulletins       to the burial service at Arlington National Cemetary. I think they even played       it beginning at the exact time on Friday afternoon that the news broke. I       always regretted not recording it although logistically it would have been       very difficult as I would have to replace the VHS tapes every 6 hours even       recording at the lowest resolution. Maybe it's out on YouTube still or maybe       DVP has it in his vast archives.              The one that has me interested is a 3 part documentary that will play on NatGeo       beginning on November 5. One of the people interviewed was Clint Hill.       No telling how good or bad it will be until I see it.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
