     He is applying reasoning to information, and that is like fingernails on a   
   blackboard to you.   
      
    In the most common gunshot wounds they would be familiar with, the entrances   
   and exits would be easily discernable to just about anyone. But then there are   
   the outliers. You have the doctors doing what actual experts with training in   
   the proper fields (   
   wound ballistic experts or forensic experts) would never do, make a   
   determination at a glance without a proper examination.
