|    Here's the location of a big US torture     |

XPost: uk.politics.misc, uk.media.newspapers, uk.media       From: banana@REMOVE_THIS.borve.demon.co.uk              Diego Garcia.                     Condoleeza Rice is coming to Europe. 'Rendition' - i.e. US State       kidnappings and torture - is a big story.              Remember 'strategic hamlets' in Vietnam?              US propagandists are focusing 'discussion' on distractions, e.g.              - the model numbers of the aircraft involved       - the exact number of flights through such-and-such an airport              (Same sort of 'snow job' is going on re. nuclear power).              Well, the US torture camp on UK soil HAS been exposed. It's NOT secret       any more.              It's just that the running-dog western press have been told hardly ever       to mention it. And certainly not to mention it anywhere near words such       as 'illegal', 'war crimes', and 'international trial'.              And yes, UK officials are just as guilty as their US chums. No need to       get a quote from some SIS-friendly law chambers to understand that.              Editors are being careful not to say any prisoners have been held on       British soil. They mention only 'refuelling' at 'airports'. Got that,       old boy?              See what they're doing? It's like 'cash for questions'.              So: which journalist will have the guts to ask Condoleeza Rice about the       US torture camp on UK soil in Diego Garcia?              I'll repeat: US TORTURE CAMP ON BRITISH SOIL, IN DIEGO GARCIA.              Or maybe an SIS officer will place a question or article, and forget       about keeping in the good books of his Langley-paid superiors? Come on.       Miss a promotion? Get your own back!              --       banana "The thing I hate about you, Rowntree, is the way you        give Coca-Cola to your scum, and your best teddy-bear to        Oxfam, and expect us to lick your frigid fingers for the        rest of your frigid life."
