UK govt propaganda in aid of Khodorkovsk

What's the reason for the UK government propaganda (broadcast by BBC
today) in favour of jailed mafia boss (sorry, 'oligarch') Mikhail
   Khodorkovsky?

Google on 'Khodorkovsky' and 'Prince Michael'.

I did note in the BBC film today that the SIS medic didn't help out in
the court case. Maybe would have been too much of a hostage to fortune?

The bit where the pro-Khodorkovsky 'demo' outside of the Russian
courtroom was portrayed as 'genuine', whereas the pro-Putin 'demo' the
next day was portrayed as being - shock! - 'fake', was hilarious. As was
the sneer by the US lawyer that some of the 'protestors' on the second
day were old and had had all of their banners printed by the FSB. No
editorial comment, of course, on the banners held by the
pro-Khodorkovsky 'demonstrators' the previous day. The fucking CIA, of
course, like to get their demonstrators nice and young for the cameras,
as in Tbilisi, Belgrade, Minsk, Kiev and a number of other places.

Imagine keeping a straight face and saying that taking Yukos from
   'Khordorkovsky' is 'stealing' it!

No mention of 'Lord' Rothschild, I note...to whom Khodorkovsky has
signed over his 'rights' in case of his being incapacitated.
