   The Van Allen belt exists only within a few earth radii.  The Apollo mission   
   flew through that area in a short time.

   There was no crater under the LEM.  The lower part of the LEM served as the   
   launching base for the upper part of the LEM at liftoff and then remained on   
   the moon.  Most of the blast of the engine at liftoff impinged on the LEM   
   base, not directly on the lunar surface.  The lunar surface is rocky with a   
   thin coating of fine dust over it.  That dust is seen to be stirred up at   
   liftoff.  There should be no crater at liftoff.
