"Could       have" is not evidence. "Might have" is not evidence. Coincidence       of time or place is not evidence. Unanswered questions are not       evidence. And when it comes down to it, these are all that conspiracy       advocates ever present.              For example - senior MI6 men in Paris on the night of the crash!       I haven't seen proof they were there - but even if they were, so       what? Was it unusual for them to be in Paris? We don't know. Were       they there on a job unrelated to Princess Di? Almost certainly,       but, of course, we don't know. In fact, we don't know anything about       their reasons for being there - but CTers treat it as proof absolute       of MI6 involvement in Di's death. It ain't.              It's the same with virtually every plank of every conspiracy theory       ever constructed - strip away anything not backed by evidence and       there's nothing left but the twinkle of fairy dust.              --       Brian Pears       Gateshead, UK              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
