I get the impression that ron him/herself has no idea what his/her theory
   actually is.

   >And after all the clamouring for
   > the inquest to begin!!

You have had some interesting discussions with our mutual friend "banana".
He claimed that the inquests had been opened and adjourned in 1997. Many of
his legal theories were based on this "fact". When he found out that the
Inquests were opened and adjourned in 2004 he went into silent mode on the
subject. His other pet was called the "Coroner of The Queen's Household".
According to "banana" this Coroner couldn't conduct an inquest because the
Queen is his boss. After this problem had been solved and after the decision
to call an ordinary jury, "banana" kept repeating that the Inquests would be
a farce. He never answered the question who in his opinion should conduct
the inquest. Most conspiracy theorists accepted "banana" as their legal
counsel and after his many errors they did what conspiracy theorist do when
they have lost the debate: silent mode.

   >As you say now we get to see the facts in all
   > their glory (and to see exactly what actual "evidence" dear old Fayed
   > is to bring forward in support of his hitherto unsubstantiated claims)
   > those who were happy to post endlessly on the merest morsel to propel
   > us on another journey into the Never Never Land of speculation are
   > noticeable by their absence when there could be a feeding frenzy of
   > real information.

Fayed tried to get an inquiry in Scotland. His request was turned down. This
decision has been published. You read it, I read it and we couldn't detect
any evidence that supported Fayed's wild claims. The same applied to the
Stevens Report. Fayed and his devotees in this NG have had every opportunity
to come up with real evidence. They didn't. In fact, "banana" read the
Stevens Report, thought "****, I cannot counter this" and went into silent
   mode.

But, don't despair! Fayed has already complained that most of his witnesses
will not be called. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be his
defence after the jury's verdict. (Or will he buy the jury, one wonders.)

   > PS thanks for posting the European Court decision - I missed that -
   > yet another resounding court case failure! His lawyers are going to be
   > mighty peeved when this gravy train finally grinds to a halt.

Before some legal eagle from the conspiracy community will use kilometres of
bandwidth, it is only a press release. I couldn't find the decision itself.

I disagree with your last sentence. Fayed will send his lawyers to courts as
long as he lives. He came a cropper in the USA, but that doesn't matter.
Since he believes that US intelligence spooks were somehow involved, he will
look and find courts in the States to file complaints. And if that well
dries up, he could go to his native Egypt. Or to the Virgin Islands, or to
   Tonga or........
