   We are led to believe that a tunnel is an ideal place for a hit. Apparently   
   there was a plan to bump off Milosevic in a tunnel. It is a restricted area   
   and it therefore can be controlled. Witnesses can be planted and innocents   
   can be steered away from the scene. And the victim can be finished off if   
   somehow they survive the initial hit. There is one hitch. The team need to   
   get away from the scene without being spotted or captured. No problem if it   
   is remotely controlled hit. One or two team members, one a spotter and the   
   other the guy with the remote. There was, afterall, 3 top pay-grade members   
   of the British SIS in Paris at the time.   
      
   There was a tunnel in Paris. That is the first requirement. It is a   
   multicultural society in Paris and a tourist attraction so nobody would look   
   out of place. So far so good. The only problem is that Diana was likely to   
   have followers. Not those that loved her for who she was and what she did   
   but those who wanted to retire on what she could earn for them. Yeah, the   
   paparazzi. The photogs who got about in their cars, motorcycles or scooters   
   who just hang around or jump out from hiding to get a shot. Or with a zoom   
   lens go after the tastier shot.   
      
   Diana was accompanied by Dodi Fayed who was accompanied by one or two   
   bodyguards at all times plus a chauffeur and the stand-in security chief   
   Henri Paul plus the staff of the Ritz.   
      
   So the only things needed to make the hit is to get the victim away from   
   their "security" and get them into a tunnel, preferably late at night when   
   innocents would be few and far between and do the business. Get them away   
   from a place of safety where they could very well settle down for the night   
   i.e. the Ritz and get them to take flight when the more natural thing to do   
   is to call it a night. Then enroute make the hit. The interesting thing here   
   is that they decided to make a move when the paparazzi were still around   
   wanting to get that exclusive shot upon which they could retire on.   
      
   It seems it was not the couple that wanted to move, who wants to make a move   
   when a love sick Romeo with the girl of your dreams. And other folk seem to   
   have decided they should go. Dodi never even got to light his after-dinner   
   cigar. And off they went. Dodi Fayed &/or Diana went along with it but what   
   was the big hurry?   
      
   It might not be what you think. How many witnesses were there after the big   
   one? The one that they could retire on. And they had cameras and means of   
   transport. Some powerful motorcycles that were not going to be left behind   
   in a hurry. The hit team would have had to slot themselves in there   
   somewhere and be ready when the time came. There were far more easier and   
   cleaner ways to do it and far less embarrassing. You don't have 3 top   
   pay-grade SIS members in an exposed position anywhere near the scene for a   
   start. And you shouldn't do it under the noses of a foreign country, even an   
   EU member cos they have to clean up afterwards and can never be trusted not   
   to use it against you, ever in the future.
