   ago, perhaps longer. It's not as if he suddenly decided on this course of   
   action after 12 years; to the contrary, he has been trying for quite a long

   In general, the medical community seems to agree more with his assessment of   
   her state of being than with her parents'. The only members of the medical   
   community who claim otherwise are those offering various therapies for   
   "curing" her, none of which have ever been shown to be effective and for the   
   provision of which they will undoubtedly at no small financial benefit. IOW,   
   the doctors supporting the parents' claims are not exactly disinterested   
   third parties.
