It was just a stupid move. Especially with the unfinished work in       regard       >to Al Qaeda (among other reasons).              I agree. The Afghanistan invasion can be justified as self defense       from Al Qaeda bases there, but the Iraq invasion can not be justified       as defensive.              However, the government of Iraq had killed between 500,000 to       1,000,000 of there own people, and killed a great many people invading       Kuwait and Iran. There have been governments just as bad as Iraq in       Asia and Africa, and the world did nothing as millions died. I hate       war, but when millions will die without war it seems to be the best of       two very bad options. But I do think that any act of war must be done       as a UN sanctioned action. No one country should be playing policeman       alone.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
