I heard about an experiment where some plants were placed in a room. One
of the doctors went into the room, picked up a plant, yanked it out of its
pot, threw it on the ground and stomped all over it. The electromagnetic
activity of the plants were measured and they were all going crazy. The
guy who had murdered the potted plant left the room and the electromagnetic
   activity returned to normal levels.

Some other people came into the room and the electromagnetic activity
remained normal. The guy who had murdered the potted plant came back into
the room, and the plants went crazy again.

So... Does this mean your rohodendron has a soul? You be the judge. But
if they do, it makes me cringe every time I hear someone mowing their lawn.
But then again, my mom said one time that she could hear the grass laughing
at her as it grew, bringing the day she'd have to mow closer and closer.
So if the grass was antagonizing my mom, then maybe it deserved to be run
   over by a lawn mower.
