   Note for the terminally uninformed: Ketamine was used humans in the US   
   until 1999 when it was added to the list of completely banned drugs.   
   Many NDE's reported in the 1970's were from patients under the effect of   
   Ketamine. A short web search will bring up plenty of documentation on this.
