   Well, it depends on what you're willing to label as "natural". I contend   
   that NDEs are perfectly natural, only that they are generally so poorly   
   understood that people confuse them with similar-appearing phenomena, such   
   as schizophrenia and drug-induced hallucinations. The classification of   
   separation of spirit and body as other than natural is an artificial one,   
   not a reflection of natural law.   
      
   If you examine the literature on ketamine-induced NDE-like experiences and   
   compare them with a wider range of NDE reports, you will see that the   
   similarities are superficial.
