   being what it is, many simply fudge the terminology.  Certainly one might   
   use the term belief in a general sense but if arguing a philosophic view   
   then one would be remiss to do so.  In this way individuals do not   
   mistakenly think they agree when they do not or vice versa.  Too often   
   however the majority of an argument is spent on defining the terms before   
   even making such a determination.
