   As an interested onlooker, I can't help but wonder if you're not   
   simply giving significance to your survival in terms of your religious   
   beliefs. After all, presumably one could find any number of devout   
   Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Wiccans, Atheists and so on who've   
   survived similar incidents each of whom will assign their survival to   
   their respective Gods, or simple (complex?!) luck of the draw. And of   
   course, to get anthropic about it, we never hear from the people who   
   don't survive.   
      
   While I can see that an incident like that might reinforce your   
   beliefs, with the best will in the world, given that such incidents   
   aren't unique, do you think that such things say anything about the   
   actual existence of a God?
