   Actually, there are most likely many around you, but for some reason   
   you are more able to perceive one of them.  There are many reason that   
   a spirit might be hanging around so guessing is almost useless.   
      
   You might want to try taking a audio recorder and asking the spirit   
   who he is and why he is hanging around.  You just might get your   
   answer on playback of the recording.   
      
   Also, a good physic or medium could help bridge the gap.  Or try it   
   yourself.  Our physic abilities often increase after a NDE.  In fact,   
   just being aware of the presence would suggest that your physic   
   abilities may be high right now.
