   Look up the Lorentz factor "gamma"; when the velocity between two   
   reference frames is 'c', then gamma becomes infinite, and so, as the   
   speed of light is the same for all reference frames and observers, any   
   photon is moving at 'c' (as long as it is in the vacuum of space), which   
   means that t' in the Lorentz transformation becomes infinite.  And, as   
   light is oscillating electric & magnetic fields that are perpendicular   
   to the path of the light, then distinct events must be occurring along   
   the geodesic of any photon as the electric & magnetic fields oscillate   
   in synchronization within their respective amplitudes, and such distinct   
   events imply a finite proper time.   
      
   Having said that, I will acknowledge that I am at least somewhat in   
   error, and that it is better to say that "proper time is undefined on a   
   null worldline" as is described by Professor Sean Carroll, who, unlike   
   me, is an expert on relativity:

   And, so, while some (perhaps, most) would say that the proper time of a   
   photon is zero, it appears to be a better description to say that such   
   is undefined.   
      
   Regardless, none of this has anything to do with tachyons,   
   retrocausality, time travel, etc.
