XPost: mn.politics, sac.politics, talk.politics.guns       XPost: soc.culture.african.american       From: noreply@mixmin.net              A man and a teenage boy were fatally shot in Minneapolis Monday       afternoon, with the suspect believed to be the same man killed in a       shooting by police in Brooklyn Center in the hours that followed.              Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said a 23-year-old man and a       14-year-old boy died in a home on the 4200 block of Irving Avenue North,       after being shot by a 24-year-old suspect believed to be their cousin.              Later on Monday, authorities in Brooklyn Center confirmed a police       shooting had taken place near to an IHOP restaurant, a few miles from       the Minneapolis shooting scene.              "We believe that the suspect from this double murder left the scene and       shortly thereafter became involved in a shooting with police in Brooklyn       Center," O'Hara said.              On Monday evening, Brooklyn Center PD confirmed that the man shot by       officers had died.              O'Hara said the 24-year-old had been released from Hennepin County Jail       on Monday morning, having been arrested on Feb. 15 in connection with       fleeing the police and possessing an illegally modified handgun.              He says that the grandmother of the two victims killed was in the home       at the time of the shooting, and says there were also four more children       aged 7-10 in the house at the time.              "Thank god they were not physically injured during this incident,"       O'Hara said.              Another armed man arrived at the home while police were at the scene. He       was arrested on pending assault and obstruction charges, but O'Hara says       he's not believed to be involved in the double killing.              O'Hara suggested that the suspect's arrest on Feb. 15 may have been a       motivating factor in the killings, but says that neither victim had       anything to do with the man's arrest.              latest version of events, and may be subject to change.              https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/man-and-boy-killed-in-minneapol       is-suspect-linked-to-police-shooting-in-brooklyn-center              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
