   I was a member of Lawrence DSA and I was raped by someone who was   
   supposed to be my comrade. I trusted him to be my friend and comrade   
   and he raped me. This was devastating not only as a violation of my   
   body and my agency, but as a betrayal of my trust.   
      
   The night before the Baroness concert, I had been drinking at my   
   house, alone. Brian invited himself over. When he arrived, he   
   offered to take me to the gaslight (a bar by my house at the time).   
   Brian doesn’t drink. I had two drinks, the second of which I hadn’t   
   seen get prepared as I was in the bathroom. I blacked out. When I   
   came to, I was back at home, in my bed, with Brian’s disgusting face   
   in between my legs.   
      
   I reported my rape to people who were also supposed to be my   
   comrades. I trusted them for care and support. One of those people   
   betrayed that trust. This was devastating and lasting.
