XPost: soc.senior.issues, alt.society.homeless, alt.fan.rush-limbaugh       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: democrat-insurrection@mail.house.gov              https://www.komonews.com/news/local/south-seattle-homeless-encampment-rvs-       trailers-arrowhead-garden-aparrtments-burglaries-washington-state-       department-of-transportation-sdot-catalytic-converter-wsdot#              SEATTLE — Seniors who live in an apartment complex in south Seattle say       the city's efforts to clear nearby homeless encampments have pushed people       living in RVs to move right next to their building.              No parking signs went up last week along Myers Way in the Delridge       neighborhood, where RV encampments lined the street. The city enforced the       closure, but neighbors say the people living in the RVs moved around the       corner into the parking lot of a Metro 'park and ride'.              “They moved them from that street, and they just came up and pulled their       vehicles, their trailers, their accouterments right here," said Diane       Radischat, who lives at the Arrowhead Gardens apartments. "So now we have       to essentially start all over. People once again don't feel safe to come       out."              Residents at Arrowhead Gardens are no strangers to issues with homeless       encampments - Radischat led the charge last year to push the city of       Seattle and the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to close       down a sprawling homeless encampment in a forest between Myers Way and SR       509.              “I’m sure they’re tired of hearing from me again, and they are going to be       tired of hearing from me until they live up to what they committed to,"       Radischat told KOMO News. "All we want you to do is live up to the       commitments you made to us so we can live in a safe home."              Neighbors have reported hearing fights in the encampment and generators       running all night. Several residents have reported car burglaries, and a       car was stolen from their parking garage last week.              “It’s horrendous that after putting up with that encampment over there for       years, now we’ve got them in the backyard," said Patrice Cox, who lives at       Arrowhead Gardens. Cox and other residents say issues in the neighborhood       spike when encampments form.              “Now I’m to the point where I’ve got to move. I don’t feel safe here,"       resident Herb Egge told KOMO News.              Egge was the victim of a car burglary last year and thieves also stole his       car's catalytic converter. After the thefts, someone else came and drained       his gas tank.              “Just for the gas tank alone to have the gas tank replaced was $800,” Egge       said.              KOMO News reported last month that several Metro shuttle busses had their       gas tanks tapped and empties in the same parking lot.              “Our garden hose was used for the stealing of the gasoline," Radischat       said. “For the longest time when it was cleaned up and the encampment was       gone and there was no parking on the streets -everything was nice and       peaceful and quiet. The,slowly, as this group has come and stayed over       this last amount of time, we’ve noticed once again property damage."              Radischat and Cox said they have reached out to officials with the Seattle       Department of Transportation and hope outreach teams and the city can       quickly connect people in the encampment to resources.              “I could not believe it was starting up again. We would love to see them       gone tonight,” Cox said.                     --       We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that       stupid people won't be offended.              Durham Report: The FBI has an integrity problem.
