XPost: alt.gossip.celebrities, alt.politics.democrats.d, sac.general       XPost: alt.rush-limbaugh       From: losers@dnc.org              One of the city’s top education officials was busted in       Wisconsin on charges he used a computer to facilitate a child       sex crime, according to police.              David A. Hay — schools Chancellor Richard A. Carranza’s deputy       chief of staff — was arrested at an airport in Milwaukee Sunday       as part of an undercover investigation, said a spokesman for       police in Neenah, Wis.              Hay, who made $166,156 last fiscal year, will be fired and has       been removed from the city’s payroll, Education Department       spokeswoman Miranda Barbot said.              “These allegations are incredibly disturbing and absolutely       unacceptable,” Barbot said. "We referred this to the Special       Commissioner of Investigation and we will fully comply with any       investigation.”              Hay had no regular contact with children in his job at a central       office, officials said.              Investigators nabbed Hay "following an ongoing undercover       Internet Crimes Against Children Investigation” with assistance       from the Milwaukee County Sherriff, Neenah police said.              He was booked at the Winnebago County Jail.              The allegations appear to indicate that police suspect Hay of       contacting a minor for sex. Under Wisconsin state law, using a       computer to facilitate a sex crime means “us[ing] a computerized       communication system to communicate with an individual who the       actor believes or has reason to believe has not attained the age       of 16 years with intent to have sexual contact or sexual       intercourse with the individual.”              Police said the investigation is ongoing.              Hay, who began working at the Education Department in 2016, was       a high school teacher and principal in Wisconsin from 2005-2014,       according to his LinkedIn page.              He received a doctorate in education from Harvard University,       and served as a special assistant and organizational director       for former Chancellor Carmen Fariña before taking over his       current position in October 2018.              Mayor de Blasio’s office declined to comment.              https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/ny-deputy-chief-       school-chancellor-arrest-20191230-njgznp2d5fedxghb3x6v4uyeoy-       story.html                      --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
