XPost: alt.gossip.celebrities, alt.politics.democrats.d, sac.general       XPost: alt.rush-limbaugh       From: no-fags@cnn.com              Let's add another paragraph to that.              "People get fired for expressing social and political views       every day in the real world. Spoiled selfish misguided athletes       are no exception to this rule. We won't be spending our $$$       supporting a 2% radical faction who believes their employment       and public work venue gives them the right to shove their       unwanted social and political agendas in our faces. We don't       have to take that and neither does an employer. Go ahead. Make       our day. Get fired, hire a lawyer, and get your ass in court       over this. We, as a jury of your peers and superiors, will be       happy to make it absolutely clear that you are legally in the       wrong. Our money pays your salary. When we take that away,       NFL, USMNT, USMNT and USWNT advertising revenue will disappear.       Your jobs will evaporate like farts in the wind, and you will       have nobody to blame but your own ignorant selfish selves. In       other words, we'll cut your money, make you homeless, and put       you in breadlines because of your lack of committment to your       own job. Is that what you want?"              President Trump made clear once again Saturday just where he       stands regarding athletes’ kneeling protests during the playing       of the national anthem.              In a set of Twitter messages, the president reacted to recent       news regarding NFL players and the U.S. Soccer Federation and       their positions on anthem kneeling.              U.S. Soccer – which oversees the U.S. men’s and women’s teams       that complete in the Olympics, World Cup and other tournaments –       recently rescinded its policy requiring players to stand during       the playing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” prior to matches.              TEXANS' JJ WATT SAYS KNEELING DURING ANTHEM NOT ABOUT       'DISRESPECTING' FLAG: 'YOU CLEARLY HAVEN'T BEEN LISTENING'              The U.S. Soccer reversal – and a recent video apology to black       players and fans by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell – were       responses to the May 25 death of George Floyd in Minneapolis       policy custody and the protests and rioting that followed across       the U.S.              President Trump has called the Floyd case “a very sad and tragic       death,” but didn’t appear interested in changing his previous       opposition to anthem protests.              “I won’t be watching much anymore!” the president wrote,       retweeting a news story about U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla.,       calling out U.S. Soccer on its policy reversal.              On Thursday, Gaetz had tweeted that he’d “rather the US not have       a soccer team” anymore than to allow players to kneel during the       anthem.              “You shouldn’t get to play under our flag as our national team       if you won’t stand when it is raised,” Gaetz added.              https://www.foxnews.com/sports/trump-warns-nfl-us-soccer-hell-       tune-them-out-over-anthem-protests-i-wont-be-watching                      --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
