   Synopsis: San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego   
   County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Unit continue to look for   
   leads in the 1990 unsolved murder of 23-year-old Felix Patricio   
   Abarca.   
      
   On November 23, 1990, the body of an unidentified female was   
   found, down an embankment, off of Sunrise Highway at Mile Marker   
   33.5 in Mt. Laguna. During the autopsy it was determined that   
   the victim, Felix Abarca (aka Laura), was in fact a male who was   
   undergoing gender reassignment surgery. Laura was reported   
   missing on November 18, 1990 and was last seen on October 17,   
   1990. The cause of death was asphyxiation.
